I’m so excited to share that I’m writing my very own middle-grade, African-mythology–inspired fantasy novel, tentatively set to be released in 2027!
The Princess in the Dark follows a 13-year-old Black girl who wants nothing more than to be accepted for who she truly is until a powerful goddess entrusts her with the fate of the world. Chosen by African gods themselves, she has no choice but to accept this mission of saving our world. Joining forces with two other girls she doesn't even know, and together they’re pulled into a destiny way bigger than they ever imagined.
Think a Percy Jackson–style trio, a young Elphaba–like main character, and a world showcasing African mythology, gods, and legends from all over.
